THE NEED OF HUMAN INTELLIGENCE IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
AI has become so common in today’s industries and people’s daily lives, which now raise the question if there is a need for Human intelligence in Artificial intelligence. While the objective of artificial intelligence is to build and create intelligent systems that are capable of doing jobs that are similar to those performed by humans, we can’t help but question if AI is adequate on its own. In this article, we will be discussing the need for human intelligence in Artificial intelligence but first let’s get to know their definition.
WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?
According to oxford dictionary, “Artificial intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages”. The foundation of AI is human insights that may be determined in such a manner that machines can easily realize the jobs, from the most simple to the most complicated.
Basically we can say without Human intelligence, Artificial intelligence can’t be developed.
WHAT IS HUMAN INTELLIGENCE?
It is the individual’s unique combination of genetics, upbringing, and exposure to various situations and environments allowing us to think, learn from different experiences, understand complex concepts, and communicate with fellow human beings.
Human intelligence holds much more credibility for creating methods of Machine Learning. It is the main contributing factor that has given definition to the simulations that are created in Artificial Intelligence, Human Intelligence is the one to create Artificial Intelligence in the first place.
Despite the fact that AI systems are developed to replicate and simulate human behavior, they are incapable of making reasonable decisions. The ability of Artificial Intelligence systems to make decisions is mostly based on the data they’ve been given. So, Artificial Intelligence operate based on the data that has been fed to them by Human Intelligence.
Be it self-driving cars and robots, or sophisticated technologies like natural language processing and image processing, they all rely on human intelligence. Therefore, it totally depends upon the modifications made by Human Intelligence to introduce new features in Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is best applied when it is monitored by Human Intelligence.
In conclusion, the future of AI will be governed mainly by human abilities. It will be complemented by human intelligence and cognizance. So no matter how complex an Artificial intelligence machine is built, it still relies on Human Intelligence to perform well.
